Hundreds of activists demonstrated in Jerusalem demanding that the charge against psychologist Yuval Carmi be aggravated

About 200 activists this morning (Sunday) staged a protest march in Zion Square in Jerusalem alongside Kim Ariel Arad, who was a patient of the psychologist Yuval Carmi, testified about his actions and demanded that the indictment against him for rape be aggravated.
Activists accompanied Arad's march to the district attorney's office, where she submitted the signatures of thousands of people demanding that Carmi's indictment be aggravated, who is currently charged with indecent acts on his patients.
The indictment filed by the State Attorney's Office against Carmi is for committing an offense of having "sexual intercourse between a therapist and a patient" only.
The indictment was filed after a police investigation, and after Arad testified about the rapes and assault that she said Carmi, who was her therapist, carried out on her.
The demand of Arad's lawyers and the activists of the struggle to aggravate the charges against him and accuse him of committing rape has not yet been met.

The indictment against Carmi, a 65-year-old psychologist living in Jerusalem, was filed last month in the city's Magistrate's Court.
He was arrested in January 2021, on suspicion of raping his patient, following which further complaints were filed against him.
