Lung cancer is the leading cause of death among all malignancies.

Every year about 2,600 new patients are discovered and 1,600 die from the disease.

More than half of the patients are diagnosed with advanced stages of the disease as its symptoms are not specific.

13% of patients with NSCLC carry the KRAS G12C mutation, which is considered to be particularly common and deadly, but to date the treatment options for patients in advanced stages have been limited and limited.

The drug is expected to be joined by the drug LUMAKRAS, which has shown good efficacy when 80.6% of patients have control of the disease - a contraction in the tumor or at least a halt in the progression of the tumor has been observed.

This year, as in the last five years, the committee will raise the age of mammography tests from 50 to 40. Breast cancer is the most common malignant disease among women in Israel and the Western world alike, and is the number one cause of death among women.

More than 5,400 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in Israel, 25% of them are young under the age of 50, which is about 1,300 new women under the age of the test. The social significance is also comprehensive - since these are young women, the harm to families, children and the economy is more felt. However, 92% are cure rates at early detection of the disease, so the significance of early breast cancer detection allows most women to receive treatment, recover from the disease, get back to living their lives normally and function at their best.

The most effective way to detect breast cancer early is by performing screening tests, with a mammogram being the only screening test whose effectiveness in early diagnosis is research proof among women at normal risk.

In Israel, women are invited to undergo a publicly funded mammogram from the age of 50 and up, in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, while in practice, about 25% of patients are diagnosed under the age of 50.

The committee's deliberations will also include a cure for Alzheimer's.

Between 80,000 and 100,000 people in Israel suffer from Alzheimer's - a progressive neurological disease, which leads to mental deterioration characterized by memory loss, confusion and disorientation and eventually leads to death.

To date, there have been no treatments that change the course of the disease, only supportive and symptom-oriented treatments, with the burden of a person with Alzheimer's on family members and other circles of support becoming heavier as the disease progresses.

ADUHLEM is a drug designed to delay the clinical deterioration in early-stage Alzheimer's patients.

Studies have shown a slowdown in deterioration in many parameters such as ability to perform daily activities, networking and memory.
