Where should Nandlstadt's market councils meet?

Next in the school gym, or again in the town hall and then under 3G + conditions?

This question now divides the Council.

Nandlstadt

- With the 3G + rule back to the town hall meeting room, or continue to meet in the old school gym without a test?

The Nandlstadt market council faced this question at its meeting on Thursday.

And opinions on it varied widely.

"I have already been asked several times when we can go back to the town hall", explained Mayor Gerhard Betz - this was publicly the case last in the September meeting, when 3rd Mayor Michael Schranner (BLN) did this under "Announcements and inquiries" Brought up the topic.

CSU pleads for a return to the town hall

It was therefore officially up for debate on Thursday. The town hall chief made it clear that a return to the town hall “is only possible with 3G +”. That means: speakers, listeners and press representatives must either be vaccinated, recovered or tested with a now expensive PCR test. It is different with the citizens 'representatives: Because the municipal council is a "systemically relevant" body, according to Betz, a quick test would be sufficient for the citizens' representatives - which one could theoretically offer in the town hall by setting up a small test center. But, as Betz made it clear: "I personally don't want that."

Vice-Mayor Rainer Klier made the position of the CSU clear: "We would like to go back to the town hall." Because: "The democratic process is suffering" in the gym.

And Sebastian Unger (CSU) also made it clear: “I would be in favor of doing 3G +.” He is convinced that specialist speakers are definitely vaccinated, and everyone else has to submit a test.

"I don't know why you are defending yourself, Gerhard," he said in the direction of the town hall chief.

Michael Schranner also wants to go back to the town hall and found it justifiable to demand tests: "Every small business has to do that too."

"Really ask the citizens of € 75 entrance fee?"

Nandlstadt's managing director Michael Reithmeier asked the group “whether you really want to ask the citizens of € 75 entry fee”.

Because that's how much, or even more, a PCR test costs.

"There is another way." Patrick Nocker (UWN) also saw it this way: Sure - "the acoustics in the town hall are more pleasant", but "it fulfills the purpose here as well".

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Robert Urbaneck (UWN) also advocated staying in the gym for the time being: Otherwise, those who would like to come to the meeting and form their own opinion would be excluded ”.

Alexander Mörwald (UWN) also saw it this way: With a PCR test “there is a barrier”.

UWN market council criticizes polemics

There was also the question of who bears the costs of testing those market councils who are not vaccinated. Apart from the fact that you have to "come out with such a procedure whether you are vaccinated or not," said Betz. Here Franz Mayer (CSU) knew to report that unvaccinated members of the state parliament would also have to pay for their tests themselves. But they, Patrick Nocker countered, “do it full-time and get a lot of money. We do it on a voluntary basis. ”Reinhard Krojer (UWN) followed the debate and finally said that it was“ polemical to label non-vaccinated people like that ”. His opinion: "Whether I'm sitting here or in the town hall - nobody cares."

The discussion could probably have continued for a long time - without coming to a common denominator.

Therefore, Unger demanded: "Let's just vote." With 7:13 votes, the application to meet again in the town hall from November was rejected - to the incomprehension of the CSU.

Finally, Rainer Klier asked to at least “return to the town hall as soon as possible”.
