The Minister of Immigration and Absorption, Pnina Tamano Sheta, said: "We continue to work for the immigrants. Connecting new immigrants with veteran 'mentors', living in Israel, is a key to good and successful absorption and will greatly facilitate the immigration process of new immigrants. The absorption process is inherently difficult. "And today we provide immigrants with another tool that will facilitate them and assist them in successful immigration and absorption in Israel."

The acting chairman of the Jewish Agency, Yaakov Hagoel, said: "As in every area of life, where we operate today in the digital space and consult with friends, so does aliyah to Israel.

The ascent is accompanied by everyday questions and dilemmas, and there is nothing as heartwarming as a personal tutor who helps you in real time.

The Israeli mentors will give the new immigrants a sense of family and remind them that they are not alone from the first step in Israel. "

The adjustment between the new immigrants and the Israeli mentors will take place even before the immigrants arrive in Israel, using the digital platform, based on various characteristics such as language, age, marital status, professional occupation, the immigrant's country of origin, the mentor's receiving authority and common interests.

The mentors will provide the immigrants with social support and tips from daily life in the various cities in Israel and will support them with practical and emotional questions - starting with recommendations related to the education system.
