Dummar Sports Club presented itself as a significant competitor in taekwondo despite its modest financial capabilities. Its players and players excelled in local tournaments, the most recent of which is the Republic Club Championship, which was held earlier this month.
Club president Khaled Abdel Razzaq said in a statement to SANA’s sports representative: Taekwondo is one of the distinguished games in the club in terms of the distinct skill levels of its players, who starred in the Republic Championship that was recently held for clubs with the participation of 33 clubs, where the club’s players won six different medals and achieved second place in the general ranking While the club's participation in the men's category was one player, Muhammad Ghaith Dahban, and he won the bronze medal.
Abdul Razzaq added that the club is one of the teams that compete strongly in the game despite its modest capabilities, and the crowning of our players with these medals is only evidence of the success of the training plan set by those in charge of the game in the club with a great ambition that accompanies the players and players to compete in international tournaments and win bright medals and raise the flag of Syria high in external forums.
The club's players won two gold medals in the Republic Club Championship through Aush Debo and Nawal Martini. Iman Abdul Razzaq won the silver medal, while the bronze medals went to Dania Sultan, Raghad Sultan and Batoul Martini.
Dummar Club was established in 1991 and works to attract talent within the games it plays, namely boxing, judo, taekwondo, body building and chess.
