A Mediterranean country is tightening the corona measures: Now it is mandatory to have a vaccination certificate with you when entering certain facilities.

Munich - vaccinated or not vaccinated - that is becoming more and more of the crucial question.

Those who do without the prick to protect against Covid-19 have to make friends with more and more restrictions.

The approaching new corona wave should not only be kept in check in this country.

Tunisia also wants to be on the safe side with its new rules.

Despite the significantly lower number of infections, the Mediterranean country makes a corona vaccination pass mandatory.

Without the document, no one will have access to public offices, cafes, restaurants, hotels and tourist facilities - according to a government decree.

This restriction applies to both local residents and foreign visitors such as tourists.

Corona vaccination pass in Tunisia: Holidaymakers receive a document upon presentation of a certificate

On arrival in Tunisia, holidaymakers receive a vaccination certificate from the authorities.

But only if a corresponding vaccination certificate is presented.

Before the Corona crisis, tourism was estimated to make up 16 percent of gross domestic product.

The country, which was subject to a night curfew from March 2020 to September 2021, is also taking action against citizens who have not yet been immunized.

For example, unvaccinated employees in the public and private sectors were given leave of absence for the time being.

They are only allowed to go back to work if they can present a vaccination certificate.

Corona vaccination pass in Tunisia: mask compulsory in transport and in public places

In closed and open spaces, only 50 percent of the seats may be occupied, so this also applies to restaurants and cafés.

The minimum distance is one meter.

In transport - including your own vehicle, if at least two people are on board - and in public places, everyone over the age of six wears mouth and nose protection.

In Tunisia, 4.2 million people are considered fully vaccinated.

This corresponds to 36.2 percent of the total population.

More than 25,000 citizens have died so far as a result of infection with SARS-CoV-2 and its mutants.
