As to the background: When the first motion appeared on the agenda of the expert panel a few months ago, the majority of observers expected that it would be rejected.
The project company planned a retirement home between a publishing house and a dance school on the edge of the Wolfratshausen industrial park.
Shortly before the meeting, the builders withdrew their application.

Instead, they looked for the public, presented their plans to our newspaper, among other things, before resubmitting the application - and this time also allowing it to be discussed in the expert committee.
However, the committee unanimously rejected the request.
A retirement home on an area that has been defined as a special area for “leisure and recreation” would not be possible de jure, and the committee did not want to allow it to be rededicated.
Another reason for the rejection were some structural reasons that spoke against the project.
The project company has now submitted a new application - just one month after saying no to the first plan.
This time they wanted to build a hotel with a cultural stage, sports fields and restaurant.
The answer remained the same.
The council reacted again clearly piqued to the action of the building applicants.

Josef Praller (citizens' association) did not believe that he really had an application for a preliminary decision. Put simply, this is an anticipated building permit. If the committee and the district office say yes to such a decision, it is binding on the municipality. “What I've got here is a thin A3 sheet of paper with no vertical cut and nothing,” said Praller, noticeably irritated. “With all due respect: We have already received preliminary decision applications that have been submitted with a pack of documents. If this is supposed to be one of them, then I don't need to comment anymore. ”Richard Kugler (Wolfratshauser List) was also bothered by the proposal. "It is hard to see what that is supposed to be," he criticized. "The way it is, you have to reject it."
