There was an accident at the Little Hawaii Trail Waterfall in Tseung Kwan O. At 1:47 pm today (24th), a woman was missing when she fell into the waterfall while taking a photo while visiting the Little Hawaii Trail.
The police arrived at the scene and rescued a 46-year-old victim surnamed Cheng from a 3-meter-deep waterfall after searched and rescued by the fire frogman. She sustained injuries to her head and feet and was consciously sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment.
The police classified the case as an "accidental injury" incident.
The site belongs to the third section of Wilson Trail. The Little Hawaii Trail was originally an ancient trail from Tseng Lan Shu to Tseung Kwan O. The Little Hawaii Trail swimming pool was developed in Da Niu Lake in the 1950s, and it was abandoned due to frequent accidents and pollution. It wasn't until 2000 that it was re-developed and incorporated into the country trail. The trail is in the jungle, the air is fresh, and the two small waterfalls have beautiful scenery, making it a check-in resort.
