Farmers and grazing animal keepers are demonstrating in Gießen today to draw attention to their needs in connection with wolves in Hesse.
They were increasingly concerned about the safety of their grazing animals, announced the Hessian Farmers' Association.
A spokesman assumed there would be around 500 participants at the demonstration.
According to the association, the reason for this is a meeting of the “Wolf in Hessen” working group, which is also scheduled for Monday.

With this, the country wants to avoid conflicts around the predator.
The aim is to make the return of the wolf transparent and affordable for everyone with the greatest possible education and support for grazing animals, said Environment Minister Priska Hinz (Greens) at the beginning of May.

Forensic doctors are supposed to clarify the identity of a dead person who was found on Thursday in the river Elde in Grabow (Ludwigslust-Parchim).
