Zbeidi on the terms of his re-imprisonment: "I do not see light, the food is unbearable. At least I stopped smoking"

The security prisoner, who was captured by the security forces after escaping from Gilboa prison along with 5 other terrorists, complained to the Magistrate's Court in Nazareth about the conditions of his imprisonment.

Zakaria Zabeidi (Walla!)

Security prisoner Zakaria Zabeidi complained to the Magistrate's Court in Nazareth today (Sunday) about the conditions of his imprisonment, after escaping from Gilboa Prison with five other terrorists on New Year's Eve - all of which the security forces managed to seize within a few weeks.

At the hearing of his indictment, Zbeidi said he was "going from isolation to isolation. No canteen, no electricity, nothing. The best thing is I stopped smoking."

Zabeidi further claimed that he "does not see light, does not know what time it is, the food is unbearable."

He admitted that he had committed an offense, but added that "there are two courts: the court here and the IPS - the IPS is worse."
