With the participation of more than 120 industrial companies, the 127th edition of the monthly shopping festival “Made in Syria” was launched today, organized by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside in cooperation with the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce in the city of Al-Nabek.
The companies participating in the festival, which will be held in the Nabek Sports Club hall until the first of next November, will display various commodities, food products, clothes and detergents.
The festival offers free purchase vouchers to the families of the martyrs and valuable prizes in addition to gold medals presented by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside and the participating companies.
The head of the organizing committee, Talal Qala Ji Bin, told SANA that the festival achieved great success in all its sessions, as evidenced by reaching the 127th session. From Damascus to Nabek and back in order to relieve them of the hardship of transportation and accommodation.
For his part, the head of the Exhibitions Committee in the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce, Louay Sari, explained that the festival provides an opportunity for citizens in the Nabek and Qalamoun areas to obtain what they need from goods and products at reasonable prices, pointing out that there is a plan to hold ten festivals in the countryside with the aim of reaching the largest segment of citizens in various regions. .
Dr. Wissam Talib, head of the local council in the city of Al-Nabek, confirmed that the purpose of the festival is to reduce the links between the producer and the consumer, pointing out that the turnout is good from the first moments.
In turn, producer Younis Muhammad explained that he has been participating in the festival since 2015 with men's shoe products with discounts of up to 25 percent, while Ahmed Halawani, a sales manager in a detergent company, indicated that the company participated in all previous festival sessions and sells its products, including shampoo, washing powder, and others at the cost of the factory.
