A trial against an 87-year-old man who is said to have killed his wife begins today at the Lüneburg district court.
The senior is accused of manslaughter and, according to the public prosecutor's office, is said to have killed his then 87-year-old wife in the Lüneburg district on May 10th last year.
Lüneburg - According to the public prosecutor's office, the defendant killed his wife in need of care with several knife wounds because he feared that he would no longer be able to look after her due to his own disabilities.
Then he pointed the knife at himself, but only slightly injured himself, according to a statement from the court.
Six days of negotiations are scheduled.
