A murderer who fled after being released from a prison in Zweibrücken was caught by Interpol last Thursday in the Dominican Republic.
The 55-year-old woman had not returned to prison on October 14 after being released from prison, the police said on Monday.
The police immediately searched for her and tracked her escape route.
Saarbrücken / Zweibrücken / Punta Cana - Together with her husband, she was located in a hotel in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic).
On Thursday she was arrested without resistance by the Federal Criminal Police Office and Interpol Santo Domingo.
She has been back in Germany since Sunday.
In 2006, the woman instigated an acquaintance in Saarland to kill her ex-husband.
A year later she was sentenced to life imprisonment for community murder.
