Live faction meetings

Against the background of the Defense Minister's decision, Bnei Gantz to outlaw six "human rights" organizations, claiming that they are dealing with terrorism, and the announcement by Housing Minister Zeev Elkin on the construction of 1,300 housing units in Judea and Samaria, Knesset members are currently convening faction meetings .

Foreign Minister and Chairman Yash Atid, Yair Lapid is expected to make a statement to the media.

Opposition leader and Likud chairman Benjamin Netanyahu will also make a statement to the media at the beginning of the Likud faction meeting, with the main issue being the transfer of the budget, which is expected to happen in the next two weeks.

In the last two days, tensions have risen in the coalition following the decision of Defense Minister Bnei Gantz to outlaw six "human rights" organizations and the announcement by Housing Minister Zeev Elkin to build thousands of housing units in Judea and Samaria.

At the same time, despite the sharp frictions and statements, Meretz apparently does not intend to "step up" or dismantle the government.

At the moment, it seems that the intention is to vote together with the coalition in the upcoming elections and to settle for condemnations that are mainly intended to put pressure on the right-wing members of the coalition and calm the "base" of Meretz.
