The children of the Farah Safita Ensemble played melodies of great classical composers on the stage of Dar al-Thaqafa in Homs during a classical concert entitled (Between the Past and the Present).

The concert, which was organized by the Directorate of Culture of Homs and in which the Yazid-Girgos Trading Company contributed, was attended by 5 children playing the piano and two on the violin, and included 13 musical pieces by international composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Rahabna and Yanni, to end with an oriental link.

Manal Al-Shamali, founder of the Farah Safita Ensemble, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the band includes about 60 children, including musicians and choirs. It was founded in 2011 and offers various concerts on various musical instruments.

She pointed out that the members of the Farah Safita band are distinguished by their ability to perform pieces of a high classical level, which is one of the most difficult types of performance on the piano.

Child pianist Zeus Mihoub, who presented classical pieces individually and others with a number of band members, stated that Farah Safita band came to Homs to draw a smile and sow joy in the hearts of its people.

For his part, Yazid Gargos, one of the party's contributors, pointed out that Farah Safita is one of the distinguished bands with the performance of its musicians, despite their young age, and it is important to embrace their talents and go out to different regions.
