Geretsried - After World War II ammunition was found during construction work in Geretsried on Monday, preparations are now being made to defuse it on Dompfaffenweg.
On Monday morning (October 25), WWII ammunition was found during construction work on a private property on Dompfaffenweg in Geretsried.
"It is a 150 kilogram bomb, which contains around 15 to 20 kilograms of explosives," explains spokesman Stefan Sonntag from the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria-South.
A removal is not possible.
The world war ammunition must be defused on site.
The established safety area around the site was determined by the demolition engineer to be around 150 meters.

In order to clear the affected area, which will probably take place in the course of the afternoon, helpers from the fire brigade, police and the city of Geretsried are currently being pulled together.
"All residents who have to leave the affected area are offered opportunities to stay in public buildings: the Isardammschule gymnasium and the Karl-Lederer-Platz council chamber," says Stefan Sonntag.
It will be reported.
