The municipalities are responsible for running kindergartens, which often delegate this task to independent organizations such as social associations.
By the end of July, the state had reimbursed the municipalities for the test costs for kindergartens.
Girls and boys of kindergarten age cannot yet be vaccinated against corona because there is no vaccine for it yet.
Bühl therefore considers tests to be useful in order to increase sensitivity to the increasing number of infections in the facilities.
Thuringian newspapers of the Funke media group reported on Monday, citing a ministry spokesman, that the Ministry of Education refused to reintroduce corona tests in kindergartens.
According to the report, the spokesman relied on, among other things, a resolution of the Prime Minister's Conference in August, according to which children up to the age of six are generally exempt from tests.
