A corresponding letter from both parliamentary managing directors has been submitted to the German Press Agency in Düsseldorf and has been confirmed by the state parliament.

Kamp-Lintfort - In the special session, the previous state transport minister and new CDU state chief Hendrik Wüst would like to apply to succeed the outgoing head of government Armin Laschet (CDU).
The CDU parliamentary group also formally and unanimously decided on this personnel proposal on Monday at a meeting in Kamp-Lintfort, as parliamentary group leader Bodo Löttgen reported.
The black-yellow coalition only has a single majority in the state parliament.
This means that each of the 100 CDU and FDP MPs in the 199-strong five-party parliament is important, at least in the first ballot.
