Decision after the on-site meeting and discussions: No ventilation systems for the kindergartens

It was discussed for a long time whether the Nandlstadt kindergartens should be equipped with ventilation systems.

But now the market council has spoken out against it by a majority.

Nandlstadt

- Already in the September meeting, the market council Nandlstadt had long and detailed discussions about whether the two municipal kindergartens should be equipped with ventilation systems.

Expert Peter Beck from the planning office of the same name advised against it in view of the structural effort and costs (we have reported).

At the request of the market councils, however, he promised to get an on-site picture with Mayor Gerhard Betz and to talk to the kindergarten directors and the teachers.

That has now happened and the result is clear, at least for Beck: The installation and placement of the devices is "extremely difficult" and not wanted by the staff.

“They would get by with CO2 detectors,” Beck summarizes the discussions.

Conclusion: "It is feasible, but it is very expensive."

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.

The large devices take up space or light

For Alexander Mörwald (UWN), CO2 detectors are “not comparable” with fresh air devices.

So he looked for ways to accommodate the devices.

But the spatial situation in the kindergartens posed a problem: either the large devices take up space or light - neither of which is optimal, the expert explained.

Regina Schillinger (UWN) asked that the kindergartens' wishes be respected: "They don't want that."

Schönegge: Extension for ventilation unit conceivable

Erhard Schönegge (Greens) once again spoke out in favor of “permanently better air” and “long-term lower heating costs” - and in view of the difficult situation brought a new option into play: “Couldn't we put these things somewhere else?” He asked the experts and advocated a central system with good ventilation hoses outside the building in a "five to ten square meter extension".

That, said Beck, would at least not fail because of the funding that is currently being received for these devices.

For Schönegge it would be “worthwhile to find out”.

Perhaps, according to the Green Market Council, the problem can be solved more easily with an outsourced plant.

Because for him these devices are “totally sensible, future-oriented systems”.

Unger: We are “desperately” looking for a solution

Franz Mayer (CSU) could not fully understand the discussion about these devices: "Conveying tempts", he knows.

“Is it now a matter of us doing something because it is funded?” He asked his fellow market councilors.

And further: “What is the intention to find a solution with all your might?

The staff says no.

Then why should we do this?

You have to explain that to me. ”He received support from his party colleague Sebastian Unger: He too had the feeling that a solution was being“ desperately ”sought.

“If the kindergarten management says we can get by with the CO2 detectors, then that's the way it is” - and there is no longer any reason for him to discuss any further.

Mörwald: "It has something to do with better health."

Mayer got the answer to his questions from Erhard Schönegge: "The infection process is the cause, but not the profound reason," he explained.

Rather, it is about "permanently good air" and "permanently large energy savings".

That is why one should “seize the opportunity to build such systems for a reasonable price”.

Because Schönegge is convinced: “At some point the demand will come that we should install such systems.” Robert Urbaneck (UWN) also saw the systems as a “preventive measure”.

And Alexander Mörwald said: “Virus protection is not the most important thing.

It has something to do with better health. "

No majority for ventilation devices

Maria Rauscher (UWN) wanted to pursue Erhard Schönegge's suggestion: "I would be very strong for such ventilation systems." But there was no vote on a possible outsourcing of the devices, because the market council rejected the ventilation systems for the with 8:12 votes Kindergarten from.
