Is there another Christmas market on Rudelzhausen's village square this year?
The local council is in favor - only the mayor is still skeptical.
Rudelzhausen
- The smell of mulled wine, punch and cookies, a bar in the fire station and a building yard hall that is being converted into a tavern - that's how it was before Corona at the Rudelzhausen Christmas market.
But it won't be like that again anytime soon because of the pandemic requirements.
According to Mayor Michael Krumbucher, it is not yet certain whether there will be a Christmas market at the traditional location this year.
Because although the municipal council voted overwhelmingly in favor of it, according to Krumbucher, it is first necessary to clarify how many of the good dozen stand operators want to participate on the second Sunday in Advent.
It will largely depend on the clubs.
According to Krumbucher, they should be written to.
This is what the decision, which was made at 15: 1, wants.
Local chief is the only one to vote against
The chances for the Christmas market have increased.
After all, as the local chief announced when asked, the rules according to which Christmas markets can take place are now in place.
That was not the case with the debate.
One of the reasons for Krumbucher why he was the only one against it.
"You have to adhere to certain things," said Krumbucher about keeping a distance of 1.5 meters as possible and preventing mass gatherings in front of the stands.
What must be there in any case, is an infection protection concept for the staff.
However, fencing of the square, as had been suggested in the meantime, could be dispensed with.
Just like on 3G and the mandatory masks.

One of the sticking points of the discussion in the local council, on the other hand, was the power connection for the stalls, which should cost 900 euros.
The washing facilities for dishes were also an issue.
As he himself says, the mayor was “not comfortable” with all of this.
He also questioned whether the effort for the few hours was even worth it.
Decision or not - in his opinion, everything must now be discussed and checked again.
It is definitely certain that the Christmas market of the Kindergarten “Bunte Welt” will not take place this year.
According to Krumbucher, SC Tegernbach could jump into the breach.
Accordingly, the association is considering creating a Christmas atmosphere in the parking lot and along the road to the outdoor pool.
It remains to be seen how the Advent magic of the booth in Rudelzhausen will continue.
