The new construction of the Moosburg children's home in the Amperauen is making good progress.

Fortunately for the city, which is under enormous pressure when it comes to childcare.

Moosburg

- The city of Moosburg needs a lot of kindergarten places to cover the care needs.

And a large part of the solution is now taking on noticeable forms: the city celebrated the topping-out ceremony with the completion of the shell for the new children's home in the Amperauen.

The care facility in the new building area was designed for four kindergarten and two crèche groups, whereby one of the kindergarten groups should be an integrative one.

Around 120 children will enliven the house.

The little ones are currently being looked after in containers in Neustadt.

In view of the lack of space and the increasing demand in a growing city, the containers will also be needed in the future, said Mayor Josef Dollinger.

But he also affirmed that the premises were less of a problem compared to finding the necessary staff.

He recalled the closure of two groups due to a lack of care workers, "and these 40 missing places are sacredly painful to us".

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

At the topping-out ceremony, the local chief also reminded of the bumpy start of the project.

A first invitation to tender for the planning of the children's home was completed without a suitable result - and then the Wacker office from Nandlstadt came on the second attempt.

“That was a stroke of luck for us,” said Dollinger in his greeting.

He was already looking forward to the result and emphasized that the construction site was currently on budget (6.2 million euros, around half of which came as a grant) and on schedule (start in kindergarten year 2022/23).

The children who will be cared for in the house in the future can look forward to a wonderful time. On the one hand, the valuable nature of the Amperauen is within walking distance, on the other hand, the house has spacious rooms and many special features. At the topping-out ceremony, the guests had to imagine the future slide from the first floor into the garden with a lot of imagination. This is for fun - and also serves as a credited escape route in an emergency.

The design of the new Moosburg children's house also fits in with today's times, when such projects are particularly watched against the backdrop of climate change.

The children's house is energetically valuable due to the use of a groundwater pump and a photovoltaic system.

In addition, high energy standards were set.

The small half-time party on the construction site whets the appetite for the inauguration party in just under a year.
