At a family celebration in Pirna (district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains) two men clashed on Sunday morning.
In the course of a dispute in the Copitz district, a 24-year-old attacked a relative with a knife and seriously injured him, as a spokesman for the responsible Dresden police department reported on Monday.
The 31-year-old was taken to the hospital.
Pirna / Dresden - The younger one was temporarily arrested, but is now at large again.
He is being investigated for grievous bodily harm.
The background to the dispute and the motive of the 24-year-old are still unclear.
The two men are said to be "obviously brothers".
