The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, ordered ambassadors from 10 countries to declare as unpleasant people who asked for the release of businessman and philanthropist Osman Kavala, imprisoned since 2017, despite not having been found guilty of any crime.
Erdogan said diplomats - including representatives of the United States, France and Germany - should leave the country if they do not understand Turkey.
