The Air Force has in recent days hosted the "Blue Flag" exercise in which seven countries participated, including the United States, Britain, Germany, Italy, Greece, India and France and other observer countries including: Romania, Finland, South Korea, Australia, Japan, the Netherlands, Croatia And the United Arab Emirates.

As part of the exercise, the UAE Air Force Commander arrived in Israel as a guest of Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Amikam Nurkin.

The exercise takes place on the basis of a fact of the Air Force once every two years since 2013 and today moved to the stage of investigations and summaries.

The Air Force sees the exercise as having great significance and influence at the strategic level between countries and a bridge for regional cooperation and the promotion of common capabilities.

The exercise included challenging combat scenarios, coalition flight, air battles and extensive space cell defense operations including tackling advanced surface-to-air missile arrays.

About 1,500 people from all the foreign air forces took part in the exercise.

Air Force Commander Nurkin said during the exercise that "the Middle East is a complex arena, changing at any given time. The challenges we face are growing, so we must be one step ahead of the enemy. The Air Force trains routinely - to be prepared for a wide range of emergency scenarios. We are flying in a joint coalition in a limited airspace, side by side with partner air forces - the United States, Germany, Britain, Italy, Greece, India and France. We are learning from the air forces participating in the exercise, and preparing the Air Force personnel to expand in real time, in order to continue to succeed in our mission - protecting the security of the State of Israel. "

Talks with foreign fighter pilots from India, Italy and Germany show that they are mostly happy to fly alongside an F-35 with Air Force pilots and especially in a very wide training area that allows them to train within minutes (unlike the countries they came from. ), Use decoy lights, fly low and at supersonic speeds.

The presence of the German Air Force caused great excitement in the IDF because of the sensitivity between the two countries. More. He also said he intended to name the Luftwaffe Resistance School after a pilot, a Righteous Among the Nations from Germany, who rescued Jews from the Auschwitz extermination camp. Meanwhile, a fighter pilot from the German Luftwaffe told Walla! Because prior to the visit to Israel he learned about the culture, received a lecture from the rabbi of the German army and he sees great importance in participating in the exercise.

In the background of the exercise, the Air Force is preparing to instruct the political echelon on readiness to attack Iran's nuclear facilities in addition to the combat challenges: the precision project of terrorist organizations led by Hezbollah, dealing with long-range unmanned aircraft, tunnels and attacks in built-up areas, and cyber warfare.

These challenges, corps officials said, "require a change in the workplace."

At the same time, the IDF presented information to the political echelon in Israel that Iran marked the Air Force as their main problem in the process of establishing itself in Syria in particular, and in the Middle East in general and therefore began moving air defense systems (surface-to-air missiles) throughout Syria. Air Force pilots Air Force pilots attacked her back and destroyed her components.

The Air Force does not underestimate Iranian technologies and claims that they are very advanced in the development and production of anti-aircraft shoulder-fired missiles, from short-range air missiles to wide-range missiles and thousands of miles of unmanned aircraft (seven UAVs were launched at Israel during Operation Wall Guard). To this end, Syrian air defense battery crews have dramatically shortened their response times from the moment they discovered Israeli fighter jets attacking targets in Syria.

The threat in Iraq is evolving as the Iranians are pouring air defense systems into the area in such a way as to help protect Iran itself and unmanned aerial vehicles from there that will take off for Israel.

A big question mark hovers over the government currently elected in Iraq and what regional policy it will choose towards Iran and the other countries.

The Iran-funded Houthi organization is currently working against Saudi Arabia but is showing very advanced technological capabilities and accurate weapons.

It is estimated in Israel that the moment will come when this weapon will be aimed at Israel.

It should be noted that in the next two years the Israeli Air Force will have 10 regular Iron Dome batteries that will much more effectively protect built-up areas and strategic facilities. Missile and unmanned aircraft.
