The Syrian Center for Human Rights, which opposes the Assad regime, reported tonight (Sunday to Monday) an airstrike attributed to Israel in Quneitra of two military bases.
Material damage was done to the military targets in the villages of al-Baath and al-Krum, and it is unclear if there were any casualties.
This is the first attack attributed to Israel since the meeting between Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi last weekend.
It will be recalled that according to Minister Zeev Elkin, who was present at the summit, it was agreed, among other things, on the continuation of the freedom of action that Israel can take in Syria against the Iranian establishment.
According to Elkin, the liaison officer with Russia and Ukraine, who also acted as interpreter at the meeting, "the prime minister presented his worldview on Iran's nuclear program, the shortcomings of the agreement and his view on halting Iran's defeat in Syria."
He stressed that the conversation discussed "security issues and sensitive policies", and the two also talked about "dealing with the danger of radical terrorism".
