Hyundai is starting to market a turbocharged petrol version of the Sonata in Israel.
The new version will be marketed alongside the hybrid version that has been successful here in the 'executives' segment.
It seems that the main goal is to present a version at a more attractive price than that of the hybrid.
Indeed, the price of the turbo version starts here from NIS 188,000.

The new version is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that produces 180 hp and transmits its power to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
On the one hand, this version is lighter and offers a slight improvement in performance, for example, the acceleration to 100 km / h here takes 8.6 seconds.
On the other hand, the waiver of electric aids here is reflected in a less impressive declared fuel consumption.
Makes sense.
The equipment list of the Hyundai Sonata Turbo is definitely handsome from the more basic version and includes autonomous braking capability, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, an active system for monitoring vehicles in the dead space, identifying a passing vehicle when opening a door and more.
Also when it comes to comfort equipment, you can find here a nice list from the entrance version with a charging surface, leather seats with electric adjustment, top view and more.
