Land wants to strengthen psychosocial skills in schoolchildren

The state government of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania wants to help schoolchildren in the state with pandemic-related social deficits.

"The country is making three million euros available for materials that help children and young people to strengthen psychosocial skills that were restricted during the pandemic," said a statement from the Ministry of Education on Monday.

Schwerin - In close cooperation with the Central Department for Diagnostics and School Psychology (ZDS), packages would be put together to help teachers select the appropriate material for the students.

According to Education Minister Bettina Martin (SPD), the program is intended to complete efforts to catch up on knowledge gaps.
