Voting is very important, but epidemic prevention is also very important, so we will further study how it is." He said, "Traveling with peace of mind." It is not because the voting station itself has such a requirement. If it is, the relevant information will become election data, which must be sealed.
"If we borrow the venue (as a ticket station) from the government, and the owner of the venue says that we must "travel with peace of mind", we will see how to cooperate or solve it."
Feng Hua also mentioned that entering a venue does not mean that you will enter the voting station. The voting station is only a part of the entire venue. The EAC will try to protect the right to vote and understand the actual arrangements.
As for the security of personal data, Feng Hua pointed out that the main consideration is that voting data needs to be kept confidential, and the data will be stored in the government's cloud system, which has its own confidentiality measures.
They had previously consulted the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data and learned that data, including linked data, could not be stored in the ticketing station, that is, the name and the ID number. Therefore, there will be ID card data in the ticketing station, but it will not be linked to the name. ID card data is also a bunch of garbled codes, even if it is connected to it, it is useless.
