Schleswig-Holstein's Environment and Energy Minister Jan Philipp Albrecht (Greens) wants to move to the head of the party-affiliated Heinrich Böll Foundation next year. The 38-year-old Albrecht, who was traded as a possible top candidate of the Greens for the state elections in May 2022, confirmed on Monday a report in the “Lübecker Nachrichten” that he had been nominated as a future co-director.

The new AfD parliamentary group in the state parliament re-elected its chairman Nikolaus Kramer after a four-hour session.

Kramer's preferred candidate for the post of Parliamentary Managing Director, Thomas de Jesus Fernandes, on the other hand, had to admit defeat to MP Thore Stein.
