MTR claimed that an attempt was made to enter the track, and the train service between Fanling and Tai Wo on the East Rail Line was blocked

The MTR announced at 5 am today (26th) that train services on the East Rail Line between Fanling Station and Tai Wo Station have been blocked. Passengers are urged to consider using other means of transportation and will provide further information as soon as possible.

The MTR stated that the train service on the East Rail Line was blocked due to an attempt to enter the track from the flyover between Fanling Station and Tai Wo Station, affecting the safety of train operations.

The MTR is now providing free shuttle buses to and from Tai Po Market Station and Fanling Station, passing through various stations along the way.

The service changes of the East Rail Line are as follows:

Hung Hom Station to and from Tai Po Market Station, every 5 minutes

Hung Hom Station to and from Tai Wo Station, every 10 minutes

Tai Wo Station and Fanling Station will be temporarily suspended. MTR is now providing free shuttle buses

Fanling Station to and from Lo Wu Station, every 10 minutes
