A passenger cabin ship with 90 people on board got stuck on Monday night near Hagenbach in the Rhine.
The water police in Germersheim announced on Monday that there was a low water level and thick fog at the time of the accident.
The skipper had misjudged the situation “nautically” and the ship got stuck on the bottom.
Hagenbach / Germersheim - All passengers were still on board in the morning - there were no injuries.
The ship should be towed free during the day under the supervision of the responsible waterways and shipping authority, it said.
Most recently, on October 17th, a tanker got stuck on Hagenbacher Grund in the Germersheim district.
Hagenbach is located in the southern Palatinate near the state border with Baden-Württemberg.
