The ramp on the north side of the Poingen train station is expected to be completed first at the end of the year.
Until then there is no access for wheelchair users, strollers and cyclists
Poing - At the end of September, work on raising the platforms at the Poing S-Bahn station was completed. There is also barrier-free access on the south side (S-Bahn in the direction of Erding).
Work on the new barrier-free access north should continue until the end of the year. Since this platform in the direction of Munich is very difficult to reach for passengers with reduced mobility, but also for strollers and cyclists, the municipality has asked for the temporary, non-barrier-free ramp to be opened at short notice until the final ramp is completed.
Mayor Thomas Stark announced this at the last municipal council meeting.
At the same time, he announced that the railway cannot open the existing ramp because the path to the ramp parallel to the parking garage is currently not illuminated and the dismantling work will only begin in the next few days.
Unfortunately, Deutsche Bahn does not manage to create temporary accessibility on the north side until the new ramp opens.
Therefore, there will be restrictions until the construction work is completed (probably early December)
