Russia's Victor Research Center has for the first time published images of the mutated Delta strain of the coronavirus captured with an electron microscope camera.
The Victor Center said in a statement published by Sputnik Agency that the virus was artificially grown on the method of epithelial cells in the African monkey.
According to the World Health Organization, the Indian Delta strain was identified in November 2020 and is characterized by a short incubation period and increased stress on the human body.
