The Russian Federal Security Service dismantled a cell of ISIS terrorists operating inside a prison in Ugra, Tyumen Province, Russia.
The Russian Zvezda channel quoted local sources as saying today that “according to the investigation, one of the prisoners organized a cell for the terrorist organization ISIS, which is banned in Russia, and later attracted other prisoners,” adding, “The members of the organization persuaded other prisoners to join the ranks of the organization and distributed extremist materials, and at the same time the members of the cell were Also in contact with those who have been released from prison.”
The Federal Security Service pointed out that from 2013 to 2019, the defendants conducted public talks and speeches aimed at convincing the convicts of belonging to and participating, including after they were released in the actions of a terrorist organization, that distributed printed, audio and video materials of extremist content.
