The MTR stated that the train service on the East Rail Line was once blocked due to an attempt to enter the track from the flyover between Fanling Station and Tai Wo Station, which affected the safety of train operations.

The service changes of the East Rail Line are as follows:
Hung Hom Station to and from Tai Po Market Station, every 5 minutes
Hung Hom Station to and from Tai Wo Station, every 10 minutes
Tai Wo Station and Fanling Station will be temporarily suspended. MTR is now providing free shuttle buses
Fanling Station to and from Lo Wu Station, every 10 minutes
