The shocking situation against Beilinson: Hospitals in a demonstration of solidarity on the Internet Israel today

2021-10-25T09:56:16.310Z

In response to the caption blaming Beilinson for the murder of Corona patient, Sheba Hospital, Ichilov, Soroka and others published a post with the hashtag "#we are all Beilinson" Prof. Gili Regev: "The feeling was that it was directed at the entire medical establishment"

Following the shocking caption on the tombstone that accuses Beilinson Hospital of the murder of Corona, many hospitals including Sheba, Ichilov, Assuta Ashdod, Soroka, Rambam and others want to identify and strengthen their colleagues in Beilinson. The hospitals uploaded a picture of Beilinson Hospital under the hashtag "#we are all Beilinson".

A viral photo posted and circulated on social media shows a gravestone in the Yarkon Cemetery of a woman who died after she fell ill in Corona and read: "Murdered by Beilinson Hospital in Corona Department."

The woman, 71, died about a month ago after not being vaccinated.

The caption on the tombstone reads that "the name will be a dummy."

The hospital filed a complaint with the police about incitement to violence against the hospital staff.

"Dear hospital spokesmen, you have moved us greatly with the post you have uploaded!", Beilinson said in response to the tribute.

"Along with the ongoing struggle in Corona, we have to deal with another front of an extreme discourse that we have not yet known. Thanks to your determined support, we will stand one solid front in favor of a public discourse that respects professional and dedicated medical practice in Israel," they added.

The initiative was led by Sheba Hospital and harnessed the other hospitals.

"When I saw the photo of the tombstone in the newspapers, I felt immense pain as if a sword had been stuck in me," said Prof. Gili Regev, director of the Infection Prevention and Control Unit at Sheba.

"I did not know the case or anyone from Beilinson, but the feeling was that it was directed at all of us - the entire medical establishment.

"We have been at the forefront of this war for two years, fighting for the health of the hospitalized and in the end someone who refused vaccines, who not only harmed himself but also harmed those around him and then turned his anger violently and harshly towards the medical staff," Regev stressed.

"We know that when someone dies there are agitated people who vent their anger on the medical establishment but to put it on the tombstone is shocking violence."
