Waiting for a post-army trip?

In the last year and a half, most of the newly released have gone on a trip to Israel, or to nearby destinations, and modestly celebrated their release from the IDF.

Thailand

As of November 1, Thailand will be open to vaccinated tourists and children with almost no restrictions.

It is still necessary to perform corona tests and fill out forms, but the obligation to stay a week at the first destination where you land will be eliminated - and this is in a significant line, as it will be possible to move around Thailand much more freely.

It is important to take into account that whoever gets a positive answer in the test after landing there, will have to go into isolation in a hospital.

The morbidity situation in the country is excellent and the rate of infection has been declining in recent weeks.

El Al operates direct flights to Thailand, Etihad, Gulf Air and Turkish Airlines offer cheap flights with stops.

India

Starting on November 15, India will be open to tourists from all over the world.

It is still necessary to perform corona tests, fill out forms and download an app, but this is great news because after a year and a half that the country was closed to tourists, it is possible to return to it and travel almost as before.

The visas at this stage are granted for one month and for free.

The morbidity situation in India is excellent and there has been a decline of more than 90 per cent since the peak recorded there a few months ago.

The Indian airline Air India will return to operate direct flights to Israel from the beginning of November.

Sri Lanka

The intriguing island that attracts quite a few skiers, but also travelers who love the sea and nature - is open to vaccinated tourists from Israel, without the need for isolation.

There, too, the morbidity situation is good and there are quite a few Israelis who spend time at the destination.

There are no direct flights yet and it is necessary to stop on the way to Sri Lanka.

Almost everything is open in the country, and there are very few restrictions related to Corona.

Nepal

Another destination that in the past attracted many discharged soldiers from Israel, and is open to vaccinated people who will come from Israel.

There is no need for insulation at the destination, but there is a need for testing and filling out forms.

It is important to remember that like many destinations in Asia, the medical infrastructure in the country is not very advanced, but according to the data, the morbidity situation there is very good, with only hundreds verified every day.

Nepal also does not yet have direct flights, but can be reached via connection flights.

Mexico

After many months during which the country was defined as red, Israelis can fly to Mexico and return without the need for isolation, if they have been vaccinated according to the new definition of the Ministry of Health.

Everyone can enter Mexico without isolation, and there is no need for tests at the moment.

There, too, the morbidity has improved significantly, and there are almost no restrictions.

There are no direct flights to Mexico, but Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and American airlines offer attractive prices and convenient hours.

Brazil

One of the countries that has suffered the hardest blow from the spread of the corona in the world is recovering at an astonishing rate, with only about 12,000 verified per day, compared to almost 100,000 at the height of the plague.

The country is no longer defined as red and vaccinated under the new definition are allowed to fly and return without the need for full isolation in Israel.

Most of the corona restrictions in Brazil have been lifted.

Latam, which operates direct flights between Israel and Brazil, has not yet returned to operate flights to Israel, and the only option to reach the country at the moment is through connection flights.

A journey in Europe

If you do not feel like moving away, Europe is open and the borders of most countries are open almost without restrictions.

Renting a car and crossing borders with pre-arranged planning can be a very interesting option for a post-military trip.

Europe is usually not cheap, but if you choose to go to the less expensive countries, you can go on such a trip without spending too much money, especially if you share the car expenses and accommodation as part of a group.

U.S

One of the favorite countries for the Israeli tourist is the USA, it has everything from everything and the ultimate trip for its discharged soldier is to rent a car or trailer and travel from coast to coast for weeks. One of the problems for the discharged soldier with the US right now is the visa. Accumulated during the corona period, so it is very difficult to make an appointment for a visa in Israel.

The queues currently received are only for next year.

The countries that are still closed to tourists from Israel and are considered attractive among discharged soldiers: Japan, Australia, New Zealand, China, Cambodia, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, Argentina and other countries.

It is important to remember that most of the countries that are still closed have already started an opening trend, some are expected to open in the coming weeks and some have started the process towards opening early next year.
