(CNN) -
Days before Alec Baldwin shot and killed his cinematographer on the set of "Rust," there were at least two accidental discharges of prop weapons on the film's set, according to multiple news reports.
The volleys occurred on Oct. 16, when team members accidentally fired two bullets after being told the gun was "cold" (meaning it had no live ammunition and no rounds), the Los Angeles Times reported, citing two members of the film crew who allegedly witnessed the incident.
It was not known whether the downloads included live ammunition.
No one was injured in the accidental discharges, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The director of 'Rust' told authorities that Alec Baldwin was practicing drawing his gun when the shooting occurred.

The film's producers said in a statement Friday that they were unaware of the props' safety issues prior to the deadly incident.
"The safety of our cast and crew is the top priority of Rust Productions and everyone associated with the company. Although we were not informed of any official complaints regarding weapon or accessory safety on set, we will conduct a review of our proceedings while production is closed. We will continue to cooperate with the Santa Fe authorities in their investigation and provide mental health services to the cast and crew during this tragic time, "said Rust Movie Productions LLC.
