A stranger injured a train attendant at the main train station in Trier and then fled.
On Friday, the perpetrator pushed the conductor on the stairs to a railway underpass, the police said on Monday.
Then he kicked the man before he disappeared in an unknown direction.
Trier - A motive for the act is currently not known.
The conductor was injured in the face and was taken to a hospital.
The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the incident.
