Germering - not even Corona can stop it, the advent calendar of the Germeringer Lions Club.
Already last year, the members defied the adversity and bravely sold the precautionary reduced edition of the calendar, which has already become a tradition.
This year 3,000 copies are on sale. "After the calendars were torn out of our hands last year, we increased the circulation again," reveals Michael Sigmund, Stefan Hetsch and Michael von Unruh from the Lions. Mayor Andreas Haas is also happy about the "beautiful constant".

. Lions club members will bring the calendars to men and women at the weekly market on Saturday. "Last year we carried out a survey among our sponsors to find out whether they wanted to participate again," explains Hetsch. And since the popularity of the

or so
sponsors was
so high, it was no problem this year to find stores that support a good cause. The proceeds of the Advent calendar sales go back to needy Germering families. “We only wanted to let it go if there was no other way,” von Unruh describes the situation last year in particular.

this year. As in the previous year, the main prize was an
e-bike
. This will be thrown into the “lottery pot” again, as Lions Club member Michael Sigmund was the lucky winner at the time. "At first I was happy, but then decided quite early on to raffle the prize again this year," he explains. Other highlights include a television, travel and meal vouchers. "So every fifth calendar wins," says Hetsch.
In addition to the two weekly markets, the calendar can be purchased from many sponsors or from the city library or the citizens' office in the town hall.
Experience has shown that you have to be quick.
Because companies also like to give away the calendar to their employees, as Hetsch says.
