After a bomb was found in Geretsried, a large number of emergency services were alerted.

- A bomb was found in the area of the Dompfaffenweg in the Geretsried district of Gartenberg.
The police headquarters of Upper Bavaria South in Rosenheim announced in a first press release: On Monday morning, October 25, World War II ammunition was found during construction work on a private property on Dompfaffenweg in Geretsried.
It is a 150 kilogram bomb that contains around 15 to 20 kilograms of explosives.
Removal is not possible, the defusing must take place on site.
The established safety area around the site was determined by the demolition engineer to be around 150 meters.

After a bomb was found in Geretsried-Gartenberg, numerous emergency services were brought together on site.

To clear the affected area, probably in the course of this afternoon, helpers from the fire brigade, police, rescue service and the city of Geretsried are currently being pulled together.
All residents who have to leave the affected area are offered opportunities to stay in public buildings: the gym of the Isardammschule and the council rooms on Karl-Lederer-Platz.
