Five facts about allergies ("Do not miss" system)
Most of us clean our house at least once a week and try to do it thoroughly, but there are hidden places in the house that we somewhat forget they also deserve to be washed in - and it turns out that our repeated disregard for them can be harmful to our health.
The cleaning expert and star of the British reality show "How Clean Is Your House?"
(How clean is your house?), Aggie McKenzie, reveals ten areas or items in your home that need cleaning and can cause a stuffy nose, cough and upset stomach if not cleaned.

1. Empty the vacuum cleaner
Staying a lot near your old vacuum cleaner?
You are probably breathing harmful particles.
New vacuum cleaners usually come with HEPA filters that vacuum all the dust and are much better for people suffering from allergies.
However, old vacuum cleaners do not have these filters and they remove and scatter dust everywhere.
A large amount of dust can cause irritation, coughing and even infection.
It is therefore advisable to remember to empty your vacuum cleaner
after each use
.
2. Wash the bath curtain
If you have a curtain in the bath, go to it and look at the bottom edge.
Isn't it true that they are black and filthy?
A lot of mold spores accumulate there that can cause aspergillosis, a respiratory infection - resulting in wheezing, coughing, fever and weight loss.
To prevent this - wash the curtain every month.

3. Change bedding weekly
Sheets are a hotbed for dust mites.
Dust is created because of dead skin cells that fall out of our body, from which the dust mite feeds.
Mite feces adversely affect our airways and contain enzymes that can cause asthma attacks.
Mackenzie admits that she changes the sheets once every two weeks but recommends trying to change them every week - especially if there is a lot of movement in your bed.

4. Avoid massive use of cleaning sprays
A study conducted in Norway found that regular use of cleaning sprays adversely affects the condition of our lungs.
Mackenzie even compared daily use of cleaning sprays to smoking 20 cigarettes a day.
So true, they are effective and leave a fresh scent - but you can also put them aside occasionally and use microfiber cloths that do a good job in their own right.

5. Wash your bath mat
The bath mat should be washed weekly to prevent the spread of bacteria.
Think about it for a moment, you stand naked on your bath mat every day.
These are not only parts of skin cells that fall into it, but also shards of feces.
If you do not wash them fairly regularly - at least once a week - they can become quite filthy.
If you share a bath mat with partners or family members, make sure that everyone who lives with you has no warts or fungus, as they are easily transmitted between people.
6. Be sure to brush your pet's fur
Pet hairs are very allergenic because they are full of bacteria and dust.
They are made up of dead skin, which the dust mites really like.
To prevent allergic reactions, it is recommended that you brush your pet's fur regularly - and perhaps even wear a mask while combing.
In addition, Mackenzie recommends keeping pet hair short and well-groomed.

7. Fill the kettle with fresh water at each boil
When you boil the kettle for a cup of tea, usually any bacteria that is there will be eliminated.
However, if you do not change the water and boil it again after it has already been boiled - the dissolved gases and minerals become toxic.
They can contain substances like nitrate, arsenic and fluoride, which you really do not want to drink.
The nitrate in water is converted to nitrosamines which can become carcinogenic.
So be sure to fill the kettle with fresh water every time you use it.
8. Clean the refrigerator weekly
The refrigerator should be cleaned weekly to prevent the accumulation of Listeria bacteria.
Mackenzie explains: "The thing about bacteria is that they are invisible. What you can not see, you can not know exists - so you need to be vigilant. I remember in the program 'How clean is your house?'
There was a family whose refrigerator was a little dirty and we found a listeria that came from cheese that was not wrapped properly. "If you keep raw chicken in your refrigerator - put it in a tightly closed plastic container that will prevent its juices from leaking.

9. Leave your shoes by the door
Yes, this may be a bit of an exaggeration, but it's really best to leave your shoes at the door.
When you enter the house, you bring with you shoes leftovers from wherever you have walked - including places where dogs have defecated.
These residues may contain fecal ultrasound bacteria that can cause disease.
Mackenzie added: "Just think of toddlers crawling on the floor ... suddenly the whole house suffers from diarrhea and vomiting and no one has any idea where it came from."
10. Wash towels frequently and keep them dry
We are used to not washing our towels often, because they seem to be washed when they dry us.
It's a mistake.
A towel should be washed after every 3-4 uses.
A wet or damp towel allows for a great substrate for growing bacteria.
In addition, coliform bacteria, which are found in our digestive tract and can often be found on towels, can cause stomach upset.
Therefore it is also recommended not to share towels and keep them as dry as possible.
