A 66-year-old scooter driver was fatally injured in a collision with a car in the Mainz-Bingen district.
For an unexplained cause, the 66-year-old collided with the car of a 35-year-old at a crossroads in the local community of Dolgesheim on Monday lunchtime, as the police announced on Tuesday.
Despite immediate resuscitation measures by the rescue service, the 66-year-old succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
Dolgesheim - The 35-year-old was uninjured, according to the police.
