80-year-old died in fire: fire kindled in apartment

After the death of an 80-year-old in a fire in Münstertal (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district), the police rule out arson.

The investigations revealed that the senior citizen negligently ignited a mattress in her apartment, a police spokeswoman said on Tuesday.

The woman was discovered lifeless in her attic apartment on Monday.

Freiburg - Neighbors had previously called the fire brigade when they saw heavy smoke coming from the roof structure.

The fire was quickly brought under control.
