Three years after the start of the state government's so-called digitalization master plan, broadband internet had been massively expanded.
Hanover - Althusmann told the NDR Lower Saxony that 60 percent of the buildings across the country now have a fast broadband connection.
The expansion should be completed by 2025.
At the beginning of the project, the coverage was six percent.
At least 98 percent of households in Lower Saxony are supplied with an LTE standard connection.
