The Council of Ministers decided, in its weekly session today, headed by Engineer Hussein Arnous, to start a service and development plan for the areas in which settlements have been completed in Daraa Governorate, including maintenance and rehabilitation of infrastructure and services such as schools, water, electricity, sanitation, communications and health centers, in addition to opening a consular center to provide consular services to the people of the province.

The Council also decided to assign the concerned authorities to study the possibility of allocating a number of gas stations in the governorates to sell oil derivatives at cost in order to support the quantities granted through the electronic card, and instructed the relevant ministries to take the most deterrent measures against manipulators and violators.

The Council approved the completion of a project to implement the computer, electrical and communications network to automate judicial work in the governorate of Aleppo. 2001.

The Prime Minister stressed the continuation of making all efforts to increase the quantities of oil derivatives in a way that secures the needs of citizens and the productive sector, both industrial and agricultural, and to complete the distribution of the first batch of heating oil, stressing the need for the new prices of industrial fuel to be reflected in reducing the prices of products in the market as a result of the low cost of production.

In addition, the Council approved an integrated plan for marketing the citrus season, which includes preparing refrigerators and storage warehouses, and acquiring the largest possible quantity to be put in the Syrian trade halls in a way that achieves a profitable profit for farmers, presenting it to citizens at the lowest costs, and preparing the sorting and packaging centers necessary to export the surplus. The Council agreed to grant Syrian Trade 6 billion pounds/3 Billions for citrus marketing and 3 billion for apples. He also assigned the Ministry of Public Works and Housing to invest its mechanisms to transport products and seasons free of charge from production sites to consumption areas.

The Council also agreed to grant Syrian Trade a financial advance of 30 billion pounds to secure basic materials for the appointments management funding centers in all governorates.

The council discussed the Ministry of Culture’s plan until 2023 with the aim of developing the Syrian cultural product and providing the necessary enabling environment for advancing the cultural movement, highlighting Syria’s diverse cultural heritage, adopting cultural development, achieving the principle of culture and knowledge for all, and developing the cultural product.

The council reviewed the Ministry of Information’s plan to upgrade the national media to be a bridge between the citizen and the official, to shed light objectively and responsibly on the performance of public authorities, to enhance the concept of state media, to confront foreign concepts on Syrian society, and to consolidate the principle of partnership between the government and the citizen.

The council approved a number of investment projects with service and development dimensions in a number of governorates.
