The hygiene paper group Essity wants to relocate the production of "Tempo" handkerchiefs from Neuss to Mannheim.

The Swedish company announced on Tuesday that a new division is planned for the production and marketing of private label products.
Private labels refer to products that are manufactured under other names for supermarkets and discounters.
Neuss / Mannheim - Neuss, with six other locations across Europe, is part of the new division. Essity is already producing private label goods in this plant in addition to "Tempo" handkerchiefs.
The “tempo” part is to be dropped.
So far, 460 people have been working there for Essity in Neuss.
According to a company announcement, the internal realignment "at this point in time" has no effect on the existing employment relationships of the employees in the new division.
Whether there will be consequences for the number of positions cannot be said at the moment, said the Essity spokeswoman.
