If you want to travel to Great Britain, you have to adhere to some corona rules.

One of them has now been relaxed - which has a positive effect on the wallet.

Since October 4th, Great Britain has no longer classified other countries according to the three-color traffic light system *, but only in “red” and “not red”.

Germany is one of the “not red” countries.

For travelers from the latter areas, relaxed entry rules apply - nevertheless, they have not yet been immune to the expensive PCR tests in Great Britain.

But that will change now.

Corona: Great Britain relaxes test regulations on entry

The entry rules for tourists from "non-red" countries stipulate that those affected must carry out a corona test by the second day after entry at the latest.

Previously, only the more expensive PCR tests were allowed, which travelers had to book through an official certified provider.

The prices for this were at least 50 pounds (around 58 euros).

Since October 24, the British government has now also allowed the

cheaper rapid

tests as evidence, as reported by the Tagesschau, among others.

This must also be done by the second day after entry and booked through a government-certified provider.

The cost is

around 20 pounds

(around 23.70 euros).

However, the tests are quickly booked out for popular travel dates, as the Tagesschau warns.

It is therefore advisable to book early.
