“We make music - and we do it really well”: This was the motto of the choir community “The FinSingers” that gave their first concert after the Corona break on the weekend.
She not only celebrated her return to the stage, but also its 20th anniversary.
- It was clear from the singers of the "FinSingers" that the joy was great to finally be able to sing in front of an audience again. In the hall of the Damböck studio, which the exhibition construction company had already made available to the choir community for corona-compliant rehearsals in the past few months, “the new Isar Canal Philharmonic” was created within two days, as Chairman Wolfgang Hansjakob announced with a wink. And this was fully exploited. Two concerts took place on Saturday evening, each with around 110 visitors.
In accordance with the motto, the choir community not only succeeded in making great music, but also in spreading a great mood.
With a selection of humorous pieces such as “Das Lama” by Jörg Edelmann, “Der Kuckuck” by Peter Wittrich or “Das Tigerfest” by Georg Kreisler, the choir led by Sonja Hogl made the visitors in the exhibition construction studio smile.
Jan Bertram provided instrumental accompaniment on the piano.
The long dry spell that the choirs and choirs had to overcome could only be survived for the Finsinger choir community "because we continued to rehearse online," explained Hansjakob.
They are also particularly grateful for the opportunity to use the hall of the Neufinsingen exhibition construction company for rehearsals and finally to celebrate the 20th anniversary with a large audience.
However, this should not be the only concert for the anniversary.
Advent singing is planned for December in the churches of Finsing and Gelting.
In addition, a gala concert will follow next year.
