From December onwards, the 2G model will largely apply in the Elbphilharmonie.
This means that only those vaccinated and recovered from corona are allowed to attend most of the concert performances.
"Following the general development, most of the organizers in the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle will switch to 2G from the beginning of December," announced the Elbphilharmonie on Tuesday.
Hamburg - In return, the halls could be fully occupied without the mask requirement.
However, this does not necessarily have to apply to all events: "The decision as to whether a concert takes place in 2G or 3G is made by the organizer, so the rules are not uniform," says the message.
"There will also be individual 3G events in the future in which guests who have not been vaccinated and who have a current Corona test certificate can participate." For example, the Hamburg State Opera has been using the 2G model as early as November;
this includes concerts by the Philharmonic State Orchestra in the Elbphilharmonie.

According to the health authority, 1150 companies in Hamburg have completely switched to the 2G model in the corona pandemic.
"There is still a positive response," said a spokesman for the German press agency on Friday.

"That is expressly in our sense - the access model is an option, from the Senate's point of view a good option, but not a mandatory one."

The Corona Ordinance of the Hamburg Senate opens up the possibility of offering events according to the 2G model and, associated with this, lifting the distance requirements and the mask requirement in the foyers and in the auditorium.
Anyone who wants to know exactly which concert is running under which conditions is referred to the Elbphilharmonie's online calendar.
